Wuchi Wami is a Zambian private limited company that specializes in offering sustainable beekeeping training to farmers and processing of organic honey and beeswax.
The Challenge
In 2020, Wuchi Wami faced a major setback due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which left the company on the verge of shutting down. The company needed support to sustain jobs, maintain operations, and ensure survival during the challenging period.
Prospero's Intervention
Prospero provided a COVID-19 relief grant worth £8,421.05 to help sustain operations. Additionally, Prospero secured an International Climate Fund concessional loan of £88,000, enabling the company to acquire a modern production plant and scale operations. Technical support through consultancy equipped the team with expertise in change management.
